Anyone can participate in the SHARE
(Self-Help and
Resource Exchange) program and be a smart
shopper – spending only $18 for
a food package valued at $36! This is
not a government-run program, but a
faith community initiative that has
spread to many states and several
countries. SHARE orders are placed during
the last week of a month and the
first week of the next month. The purchaser
then picks up the order at the
Ezell Hester, Jr. Community Center on the last Saturday of the month.
Prior to Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Passover,
the pickup day
generally is the Saturday before the holiday.
